Terms of use

Shipways is a register of shipbuilding and ship repair yards in the Philippines, published by Shipways Marine Corp., a privately owned Philippine company.

We are not a government agency. We hold no regulatory mandate and we do not accredit, license or certify anyone. Where a profile refers to a MARINA accreditation or a class approval, we are reporting what the issuing body’s record shows — we are not conferring, endorsing or guaranteeing it.

Register entries are compiled from public filings and confirmed with each yard. Every profile carries the date it was last verified, and a profile older than twelve months is flagged as such on the page.

We work hard to keep the register right, but we do not warrant that any figure on it is current or complete. Facility dimensions are governing physical limits as recorded at the time of verification; they are not an offer, a commitment, or a guarantee that a yard can or will take a particular vessel. Confirm anything you intend to rely on directly with the yard.

Where a figure is not recorded we say “not stated”. That means we do not know it, not that no limit applies.

Listing is free for every shipyard in the Philippines, and we do not require a yard to ask before we list it. A listed yard may request its full record, correct it, or ask to be removed from the register. We will act on any of those requests.

We may decline to publish, or may remove, material that we cannot verify, that appears designed to mislead, or that makes an unverified negative claim about a named company.

Search result order is computed from how well a yard fits the vessel you entered and how complete its record is, and from nothing else. No payment, rating or other commercial signal enters that ordering. There is no advertising on the results page. The rules are published in full at How listings work, and if that ever changes it will be published there first.

You may browse the register, and quote or link to it with attribution. You may not:

• systematically scrape, copy or reproduce the register or a substantial part of it, whether for a competing product or otherwise;
• use contact details published here to send unsolicited marketing to yards or to the people named on their profiles;
• misrepresent your connection to a yard when claiming or correcting a listing;
• attempt to interfere with the site, or to access data you are not entitled to.

The database and its selection and arrangement are ours. Individual facts about a yard are not, and we make no claim over them.

Every profile carries a link to report incorrect information. We check what you tell us with the yard before changing anything, and we do not publish a critical claim about a named yard that the yard has not had the chance to answer.

We provide the register as it stands. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from a decision you take on the strength of a register entry — including a wasted voyage, a refused docking, or a commercial arrangement that does not work out. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by Philippine law, and the courts of Makati City have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date it took effect at the top.
